Pogea Racing Unveils PR964 Porsche 911 Restomod With Carbon Body And Up To 500 HP

Porsche 911 restomods have evolved into a booming niche within the automotive world, with specialized builders transforming classic generations of the sports car into highly customized machines. While companies such as Singer Vehicle Design and Gunther Werks have established distinct identities through luxury craftsmanship and track-focused engineering, German tuner Pogea Racing is entering the segment with a more aggressive, tuner-inspired interpretation of the iconic 964-generation 911.

Called the PR964, Pogea Racing’s latest project combines modern styling cues, lightweight materials, and multiple powertrain options aimed at drivers seeking a more athletic driving experience. Unlike some restomod builders that focus heavily on heritage-inspired luxury, the PR964 leans into sharper performance aesthetics and contemporary upgrades.

One of the most striking features of the build is its extensive carbon-fiber bodywork. The exterior includes widened fenders influenced by the Porsche 911 Turbo and a front bumper inspired by the latest 992.2-generation GT3. The use of lightweight materials not only modernizes the appearance of the car but also supports its performance-oriented mission.

Inside, the cabin can be extensively personalized to suit individual owner preferences. The launch specification featured a predominantly black interior accented with white and red details, along with modern sport seats, a three-spoke steering wheel, and carbon-fiber trim pieces that reinforce the car’s performance identity.

Pogea Racing offers three different engine configurations for the PR964. The entry-level option is a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter engine designed to deliver a more traditional and predictable driving feel. Buyers seeking more power can choose a turbocharged 3.6-liter setup producing approximately 400 horsepower, while the range-topping version uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine capable of generating up to 500 horsepower.

Supporting upgrades include adjustable KW Clubsport coilovers and larger carbon-ceramic brakes intended to improve handling and stopping power. While official pricing has not been announced, the extensive modifications suggest the PR964 will compete in the premium restomod market.

Although Pogea Racing is expanding its presence in the Porsche world, the company has also worked on projects involving vehicles such as the Chevrolet C1 Corvette, Alfa Romeo 4C, and Ferrari 488 GTB.
