Watch An Abandoned 1966 Mustang Arise From Its Grave

Now that’s definitely a miracle!

YouTuber RevStoration is not just a gearhead who likes to rescue classic cars in bad shape – there are a fair number of such channels these days. The guy is also a full-time pastor, a job he says he won’t quit or scale back no matter how big his channel becomes. Watching him bring this 1966 Ford Mustang back from the dead when he has no business doing such a thing is truly inspiring, so we had to share the experience with all of you.

To say this Mustang has seen better days would be stating the obvious and then some. It’s weathered inside and out after sitting outside in the humidity during all four seasons for years on end. The average person would look at a classic like this and just remark it’s a rust bucket which should be taken to the dump and cubed. Fortunately, someone sees the value in a ride like this, because they definitely don’t make them the same these days.

It’s always great to see a classic car like this ‘66 Mustang get rescued after having sat outside for years. Why people park cars on their property and then never do anything with them varies from situation to situation. Sometimes it’s just a matter of perpetual procrastination. Other times it’s a sudden turn in life circumstance makes restoring a once-beloved ride impossible. We’re just glad to see this pony car get rescued and start on the pathway to a better life.

This YouTuber calls the ’66 Mustang “Fred” and you’ll never guess why. The guy opens one of the doors to give you a good look at the interior, then points out on the driver’s side the floor has rusted out completely in at least one large spot. Since this pony isn’t running, perhaps he was thinking of just getting in and pushing it like Fred Flintstone did with his car?
