Valet Crashes Lamborghini Aventador Ultimaes

One would think this basic skill would be a basic requirement for the job…

A valet at the Crown Towers Perth luxury hotel in Australia did the unthinkable, crashing one limited-edition Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae into another. What’s worse, both supercars, which are the highly coveted final edition of the Aventador, belong to the same person, billionaire Laurence Escalante. Imagine being that valet.

Watch a guy light a fire using his Lamborghini Aventador here.

Reportedly, the accident happened when the valet mixed up the accelerator and brake pedals in the Aventador Ultimae, a mistake which has been made by a shocking number of drivers. We’re not sure how one gets the pedals confused like that, maybe the valet was super nervous driving a car that’s worth more than a lot of houses.

The aftermath of the crash was filmed by Jiu-Jitsu fighter Craig Jones, who posted it to Instagram with the caption “they crashed our rentals.” People quickly assumed he rented both Lamborghinis, but it’s obvious the guy was just joking around.

In that video, the valet says the accelerator and brake pedals are too close together, blaming that on why he pressed the one and not the other. It’s true that pedals are set closer in a lot of performance vehicles to facilitate more aggressive driving techniques, especially when racing on a track, but to blame this kind of accident on that seems… interesting.

While there’s at least cosmetic damage done to both Lambos, it’s possible that’s the extent of it all. Considering they’re both owned by a guy with billions to his name, he can likely have both of them fixed. Still, he’s probably none too happy. A quick scan of Laurence Escalante’s Instagram account shows he’s definitely into cars, in particular Lamborghinis, so these are likely his babies. Many people would have done some rather untoward things to get their hands on an Aventador Ultimae and this guy got two, but then a valet who apparently can’t keep the pedals straight smashed them together – brutal.
