The Mullin Automotive Museum Parades Automotive Excellence at Monterey Car Week

Showcasing Icons at Monterey Car Week.

Monterey Car Week, a magnet for automobile enthusiasts worldwide, is once again set to dazzle its attendees with legendary car displays. Standing out amid the automotive masterpieces, The Mullin Automotive Museum has unveiled its lineup for the week, planning to exhibit seven legendary vehicles from its trove, gracing three major events: The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, and the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Delage, Delahaye, Talbot, and Voisin — names synonymous with automotive greatness — will have their iconic builds take center stage from the Mullin collection. Vehicles like the 1934 Voisin C27 Cabriolet, the 1938 Talbot-Lago Type 26-SS, and the 1946 Delage D6-3L are bound to leave spectators in awe.

Peter Mullin, the Founder and CEO of the Mullin Automotive Museum, expressed his anticipation for the event. "Monterey Car Week holds a special place in the hearts of automotive aficionados. We're thrilled to not just attend, but to present these magnificent French masterpieces to a global audience," he said.

During the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (August 16-19), three gems from the Mullin collection will race against time: the 1938 Talbot-Lago Type 26-SS, the 1946 Delage D6-3L, and the 1950 Talbot T26. These cars, representing a rich history of design and performance, will compete in the 1927-1955 Grand Prix/Open Wheel group for single-seat racing cars.

Mullin's collection at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering (August 18) will introduce spectators to a non-French marvel: the 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster. This vehicle, a synthesis of performance and everyday utility, represents the evolution of the Porsche lineage.

Concluding the week, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance (August 20) will host the 1934 Voisin C27 Cabriolet, the 1939 Delahaye 165 Cabriolet, and the 1937 Talbot-Lago T150 C-SS “Teardrop.” Each of these cars carries stories that are as intriguing as their designs, adding depth to their physical beauty.

The Mullin's legacy at Pebble Beach is long and illustrious. In 2022, they won the “Best in Class” for the Talbot-Lago Grand Sport Line with the 1951 Talbot-Lago Type 26 Grand Sport. Their 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic also claimed the "J.B. & Dorothy Nethercutt Most Elegant Closed Car" title in 2021.

For those who find these descriptions alluring and wish to dive deeper into the ocean of automotive marvels, The Mullin Automotive Museum awaits your visit. Further details can be found on their official website, www.MullinAutomotiveMuseum.com.
