Roadster Shop’s 750-hp, hand-built 1953 Ford F100 pickup with custom craftsmanship and show pedigree now turns heads nationwide.
One of the most extensively customized classic trucks ever built—a 1953 Ford F100 meticulously crafted by the acclaimed Roadster Shop—is back in the spotlight. Transformed from a vintage pickup into a nationally recognized showpiece, this F100 blends cutting-edge engineering with traditional hot rod artistry in a way few builds ever achieve.

Commissioned initially as a fun weekend cruiser, the project quickly evolved in the hands of the Roadster Shop into a ground-up, no-compromise custom creation. The result: a show-winning, 750-horsepower masterpiece that’s been featured in Classic Trucks magazine and earned Pro’s Pick awards at multiple Goodguys events.

Under the hood, a Bill Mitchell-built 509ci big-block V8 roars to life, topped with a polished Weiand 4-71 supercharger and delivering an estimated 750 horsepower through a TKO600 five-speed manual transmission and Ford 9-inch rear end. The custom 3-inch exhaust, carbon-fiber engine accents, and hand-pinstriped valve covers match the level of detail found throughout the truck.

The fully custom body has been painstakingly reworked with shaved emblems, pie-cut hood, smoothed seams, widened rear fenders, and custom-frenched headlights. C2 Corvette bumpers and LED taillights blend seamlessly into the design. The bed features a show-quality aluminum and carbon fiber floor, along with a hand-formed tailgate and rear roll pan with integrated exhaust exits.
The truck sits on a Roadster Shop Stage III chassis, stretched four inches with Heidts Superide independent front suspension, a custom 4-link rear, QA1 coilovers, and Wilwood disc brakes. Billet Specialties wheels (20-inch front, 22-inch rear) wrapped in BFGoodrich G-Force tires complete the aggressive stance.

Inside, Paul Atkins’ custom charcoal leather upholstery meets a hand-fabricated dash with AutoMeter gauges, push-button ignition, a carbon fiber console, and integrated A/C—all highlighted by yellow pinstriping and satin gray finishes.
This F100 is not just a custom—it’s a statement. Built with absolute precision and designed to stun, it's a rolling work of art and performance powerhouse that redefines what a classic pickup can be.
