The SS option was still available, but it was just a dress-up package with a blacked out grille and Rally wheels. It could be ordered with any engine. 35,542 SS packages were installed.
The 1957 DeVille experienced another power increase to 300 hp courtesy of raising compression to 10:1. Cadillac adopted a tubular X-frame in '57 that greatly strengthened structural rigidity.

The 1967 DeVille experienced minor trim variations and slightly richer interiors. Tiffany style chrome signature scripts were again found above the body side molding on the rear fenders.
The 1952 DeVille styling stayed much the same as the previous years. The year 1952 was also Cadillac's 50-year anniversary and they were calling this model of cars their "Golden Anniversary Cadillacs."
The 1951 DeVille changed little from the 1950 model.
The Coupe DeVille chrome script appeared on the rear roof pillar for the first time to further distinguish itself from the Series 62 Club Coupe.
