The 1965 DeVille ushered in its fourth generation that included new styling like the loss of its elevated fins that were planed flat, and sharp, distinct body lines replaced the rounded look.


The 1965 DeVille ushered in its fourth generation that included new styling like the loss of its elevated fins that were planed flat, and sharp, distinct body lines replaced the rounded look. The headlights became vertical to allow for a wider grille, and curved frameless side windows appeared.

There remained four models in the DeVille lineup with their script nameplates on the ends of their rear fenders just above the chrome side molding. One auto writer described this feature as "Tiffany-like."
