High-performance crate engines rarely combine extreme displacement, pump-gas compatibility, and long-term reliability guarantees, but a new offering from Prestige Motorsports aims to do exactly that. The North Carolina-based engine builder is producing a 9.4-liter, or 572-cubic-inch, Hemi V8 crate engine rated at 700 brake horsepower while running on readily available 91-octane fuel.
The engine is assembled by hand and backed by a three-year, unlimited-mile warranty, a notable commitment in a segment where performance often comes at the expense of longevity assurances. Prestige Motorsports has built its reputation on delivering engines that balance power with durability, and the warranty reflects confidence in its manufacturing process.

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Concord, North Carolina, Prestige Motorsports has grown into a nationally recognized engine builder. The company produces engines for a wide range of applications, including performance street cars, race cars, and marine use across offshore boats, pleasure craft, airboats, and workboats. Its catalog spans Ford, Chevrolet, and Mopar platforms, with some supercharged builds exceeding 1,000 horsepower.
The company’s workshop is equipped with specialized machining and testing equipment designed to support precision engine assembly. Over the years, Prestige Motorsports has completed more than 300 custom engine builds, with that number steadily increasing as new projects are dyno-tested and shipped.
The 572 Hemi crate engine begins with a Gen II 426 Hemi iron block, paired with high-flow aluminum cylinder heads from Edelbrock or Indy. Stainless steel valves and a fully forged rotating assembly are standard, including a 4340 forged steel crankshaft, forged H-beam connecting rods, and custom forged pistons. A solid roller camshaft and shaft-mounted roller rocker arms support high-rpm durability.

Air and fuel delivery are handled by an Edelbrock or Indy Mod Man intake manifold topped with dual Edelbrock carburetors, while ignition duties are managed by an MSD Pro Billet system. Despite its size and output, the engine is engineered to operate on pump gas, broadening its appeal beyond race-only applications.
In an era of increasing electrification and downsized engines, the 572 Hemi stands as a traditional big-block offering built for enthusiasts seeking displacement, power, and craftsmanship, with warranty coverage rarely seen at this performance level.
