Watch A Man Explain His Love Of The 1967 Chevy Corvette

This is one beautiful C2.

There are few things more grand than to see a man thoroughly enjoy driving his car. In the video below, Matt Euson explains what makes his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray a joy to take out on the road. It’s a pure form of transportation, lacking some huge glowing screen telling you where to go, safety systems squawking constantly, and all the other annoyances which come with modern cars. Also, this C2 is a beautiful vehicle, imperfections and all.

Just like Euson mentions in the video, a car like his 1967 Chevrolet Corvette has personality and flair that’s non-existent in new cars today. There are a lot of reasons for this, among them the sad fact automakers have lost their daring spirit.

America’s sports car gets a lot of love, and rightfully so. After all, the Chevrolet Corvette has had a tremendous impact on the automotive landscape. Ford and Mopar fans might not want to admit this fact, but that doesn’t change its veracity. From the beginning of the C1 all the way to the launch of the new C8, the Corvette is a force to be reckoned with.

One of the greatest things Euson mentions in his interview has to do with the practical nature of the Corvette. While they might not get a lot of love from some, he points out having one means you can get parts easily from numerous sources. Try owning a rare European sports car and hunting down affordable parts, then you’ll understand why he says that.

He also points out that he can easily fix whatever might go wrong. Euson doesn’t even worry about rock chips and other damage, because the C2 Corvette isn’t perfect and that’s part of its charm. After all, cars were really made to be driven, and seeing this classic Stingray being enjoyed as it should is great.
