Low-Mileage 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Transformers Edition Up For Grabs

More than meets the eye!

Between the 2007 box office hit Transformers and the launch of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro in 2009, the writing was on the wall for some sort of production model to tie the two together. In mid-2009, Chevrolet introduced the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Special Edition as a special-edition appearance package available on the LT (V6) and SS (V8) trim levels.

Fewer than 2,000 Camaros were built with this package, and this extremely low-mileage, V8-powered Camaro SS Transformers Edition is going up for auction in December thanks to Premier Auction Group.

Just like Bumblebee from the movie, all of these Transformers Special Edition cars were painted in Rally Yellow, and this color was accented with gloss black rally stripes running along the hood and trunk, and the hood stripes added a cool touch with the "Transfomers" logo spelled out in ghost lettering. This logo can also be found on the door sill plates, while the Autobot logo is on the wheel center caps, fenders and embroidered on the center console lid.

What really sets this particular Camaro apart is that it only has 7,754 original miles on the odometer, and the car is in immaculate condition inside and out. Being the SS model, it's powered by a 6.2-liter V8 paired to the six-speed automatic transmission. With this transmission, the V8 used is the L99 rated at 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, while the manual-equipped Camaros has the LS3 V8 (same displacement) under the hood with 426 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque.

If you want this special Camaro, put the Premier Auction Group auction on your calendar for December 6th and 7th in Punta Gorda, Florida as it will be crossing the auction block alongside a wide variety of cars such as a 1965 Ford GT40 Tribute and 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT.
