This 896-mile custom build blends a modern Ford drivetrain with the timeless first-generation Bronco silhouette.
There's something undeniably satisfying about a build that respects where a vehicle came from while giving it the bones to keep up with modern traffic, and this 1974 Ford Bronco does exactly that. Reimagined by Velocity Restorations, the first-generation SUV has been transformed into a thoroughly modern 4x4 without losing the character that made the original a legend, and it's currently available through RK Motors with just 896 miles since its completion.
Finished in a deep, exceptionally dark metallic blue that appears nearly black depending on the light, this Bronco has a subtle look that rewards a closer inspection. The original steel body has been restored to Velocity's standards and dressed up with polished chrome bumpers, classic Bronco badging, and LED projector headlights. A 6-point family roll cage adds a functional touch without disrupting the rugged profile, and power-retractable side steps make entry easier. Both a full black soft top and a matching bikini top come with the vehicle, giving owners the flexibility to run it buttoned-up or open-air. Rounding out the exterior are 17-inch bullet hole style alloy wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires.

Under the hood sits a Gen III Ford 5.0L "Coyote" V8 with electronic fuel injection, paired with a Ford 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission. A twin-stick Atlas dual-range transfer case routes power to a Dana 44 front axle and a Ford 9-inch rear axle with 3.73 gears. The chassis itself has been restored and reengineered with Bilstein shocks, modern coil-spring suspension, power steering, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, bringing contemporary road manners and stopping power to the classic platform.

Inside, diamond-stitched leather covers the front bucket seats and rear bench, complemented by custom trim and thoughtfully placed controls. Velocity-exclusive Dakota Digital gauges keep the look of the original instrument cluster while providing modern readouts, and the cabin includes power windows along with Vintage Air climate control for modern air conditioning. A Clarion head unit with Bluetooth capability and Focal speakers handle audio duties, while a wood-rimmed steering wheel and a lockable Tuffy center console with USB charging round out the details.
