This professionally restored Eliminator 428 Cobra Jet is the only one like it to come from the factory!
That's right, this 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator is a true one-of-one car. According to the Marti Report, there were 100,085 Cougars built in 1969, and only one was an Eliminator 428 Cobra Jet with an automatic transmission, Bright Blue paint, bucket seats, air conditioning, Traction-Lok and an AM radio – and you're looking at that one car! The good news is that if you want it, RK Motors in Charlotte, NC has it listed for $119,900.
Granted, most of those unique build options are trivial, the fact that this car is packing the powerful 428 Cobra Jet engine is what makes this Cougar Eliminator a true performance gem. In 1969, the Cougar Eliminator was offered with a variety of engines, but maximum performance came from the 428 Cobra Jet. And this car is one of just 162 Eliminators sold with a 428 Cobra Jet and automatic transmission that year.
Fresh off a full restoration, this car looks showroom fresh, and it even has all of its original equipment that it came from the factory with, too. That means it still has the numbers-matching engine and transmission, and it's also the factory-correct blue exterior paint and blue vinyl interior. You just don't see this kind of originality very often, and it's even more rare on a car like the Cougar Eliminator.
Adding a little extra special touch to this car, the Eliminator package was introduced in April 1969, and this Cougar was produced on May 6, 1969 making it early example of the high-performance Cougar. This particular car was even featured in Muscle Car Review magazine!
So don't miss your chance to own this rare, one-of-a-kind Cougar Eliminator so you can emasculate Mopars and calm Camaros.
