This 1967 Ford Mustang Is The Perfect Pony Project

A well-known classic that tops the dream car list of enthusiasts everywhere.

Even non-car people that simply buy boring cars just to get from point A to point B are familiar with Eleanor, an iconic recreation of a '67 Shelby Mustang that stole the show in the remake of the movie Gone In 60 Seconds. Although the movie came out almost twenty years ago, the star car of the show embedded itself into hearts everywhere and became a household name seemingly overnight. Today, recreations of the icon can be found sprinkled in at car shows here and there, and people tend to go crazy over them. Charlie's Classic Cars is offering the perfect opportunity to take home the perfect 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby clone project car.

The car was brought over to Charlie's Classics from another shop to be finished. What you see tucked inside the engine bay in these photos is a 289cui V8 engine, but it has yet to power the car. When the motor was cranked for the first time, the unfortunate sight of metal shavings were found in the oil. After the discovery, the motor has since been pulled and has been dropped off at a machine shop.

With the motor being taken care of, the nest of wiring is a different story. Charlie's has pulled the entire harness out of the car and has started fresh on the install. While this would make the perfect project for the mechanically inclined and for someone who knows their way around wiring, it could also make the a great starter project car for the do-it-yourself hobbyist with a will to learn.

This project features all the Shelby upgrades already, and it also comes equipped with a slew of Pro-Touring components such as a Mustang II front suspension and a 4-link rear. In addition, stopping power is provided by disc brakes behind all four wheels.

If this is the project you'd love to take on to complete the car of your dreams, then contact Charlie's Classic Cars today. No price is listed at this time, but feel free to make an offer here.
