Only 200 examples of the E92 M3 Lime Rock Park Edition were built for a single model year, and this Fire Orange 2013 coupe with 26,000 miles is now bidding at $53,500 on Bring a Trailer with the auction ending Saturday, October 17, at 2:40 p.m.
The Lime Rock Park Edition was BMW's tribute to the Connecticut road course, and it remains one of the more elusive ways to get into the final naturally aspirated M3. This one is finished in Fire Orange over black Novillo leather, a color combination that makes the car impossible to miss. It also carries the Competition Package, a carbon-fiber roof, Shadowline trim, adaptive xenon headlights, and quad exhaust outlets.
Under the hood is the 4.0-liter S65 V8 with double-VANOS variable valve timing, paired with a seven-speed M-DCT dual-clutch transmission and a Variable M Differential Lock. The odometer shows 26,000 miles, roughly 3,000 of which have been added since the current owner bought it in 2024.
A Thoughtfully Built E92
The modifications are a tasteful mix of performance and presentation. Revised engine management software works with an Eventuri carbon-fiber intake, a CarboProject carbon-fiber intake plenum, Okada Projects Type 7 plasma ignition coils, and an Akrapovič Evolution titanium exhaust. The oil was reportedly changed in preparation for the sale.
Chassis upgrades include Öhlins Performance road and track coilovers, a Dinan carbon-fiber front strut tower brace, and M Performance carbon-ceramic brakes with gold-finished calipers. Satin Bronze 20-inch BBS FI-R wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires complete the stance, and the exterior picks up a Euro-spec front bumper cover, an M4 GTS-style front lip, and an AC Schnitzer carbon-fiber rear spoiler. Paint protection film and a ceramic coating were added in 2023.
Documented and Reversible
Paperwork is strong. The sale includes the window sticker, service records, a clean Carfax report showing no accidents or reported damage, and a 2024 issue of der Bayerische that featured the car. The seller says the sale includes all of the original parts except the factory wheels, so the car can be returned to stock if the next owner prefers.
The car is located in Clarksburg, Maryland, and carries a Virginia title in the owner's name. At the time of writing the listing had drawn 26 comments, 6 bids, and more than 700 watchers, with a long list of fans in the comments praising the color and the build quality.
Lime Rock Park Edition cars rarely come up for sale, and one with this mileage, color, and level of care is rarer still. If you have been waiting for the right S65-powered E92, this could be it.
