A highly stylized Honda pairing is set to appear at the Mecum Kissimmee auction in Florida, combining two cult-favorite machines into a single themed package. The lot consists of a customized 1999 Honda Acty 4WD kei truck and a 2021 Honda Monkey minibike, both finished in a coordinated Hot Wheels-inspired design and offered together with matching accessories.
The Acty and Monkey have been visually unified through flame graphics, Hot Wheels decals, and color-matched detailing throughout. Inside the Acty, the theme continues with blue and orange upholstery and embroidered Hot Wheels logos on the headrests. The Monkey minibike mirrors the same blue finish with flame graphics across its fuel tank and is transported in the Acty’s cargo bed as part of the display.
Beyond the two vehicles, the package includes a matching skateboard and an open-face helmet, both styled to complement the Hot Wheels motif. The skateboard is mounted in a side carrier attached to the Monkey, reinforcing the presentation as a single, curated collection rather than individual items. All components are being sold together as one lot when the auction takes place on Jan. 16.
The Honda Acty has a long history as a kei-class utility vehicle designed to meet Japan’s strict regulations on size and engine displacement. First introduced in 1977, the Acty was engineered as a compact, mid-engine work vehicle focused on durability, efficiency, and ease of maintenance. Over multiple generations, it evolved to meet changing safety and emissions standards while maintaining its core role as a practical tool for agriculture, trades, and urban delivery.
The example in this package belongs to the third-generation Acty introduced in 1999. This generation featured a 660cc fuel-injected engine, updated safety-oriented design, and the availability of Honda’s Real Time 4WD system. Production continued for roughly a decade, and these later models have since become popular with import buyers and enthusiasts outside Japan, particularly in four-wheel-drive form.
Paired with the retro-styled Honda Monkey minibike, itself a modern reinterpretation of a classic small-displacement design, the package leans heavily into nostalgia and visual appeal. Together, the Acty, Monkey, and accessories form a distinctive presentation that blends Japanese kei vehicle culture with playful custom styling, all set to be auctioned as a single, cohesive offering.
