Ultra-Low-Mileage 2017 Dodge Viper ACR Snakeskin Green Edition Heads to Scottsdale

A rare 2017 Dodge Viper ACR Snakeskin Green Edition has resurfaced after spending nearly its entire life tucked away from use, emerging as one of the most meticulously preserved examples of the nameplate’s final year. With only 812 miles recorded, the car has lived more like a museum display than a street-legal supercar, making its planned appearance at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction in January 2026 a notable moment for collectors.

This Viper is number 22 of just 31 Snakeskin Green Edition ACRs built for 2017, a year that marked the end of Viper production. Dodge commemorated the model’s farewell with several limited-run colors, but the Snakeskin Edition remains one of the most distinctive. Its bright green paint, paired with a snakeskin-patterned SRT stripe, pays tribute to the 2010 Snakeskin ACR while emphasizing the car’s dramatic, heritage-inspired presence.

Beneath the signature color lies the most extreme factory Viper package ever offered. The ACR’s 8.4-liter V10 delivers 645 horsepower through a six-speed manual transmission, retaining the raw, naturally aspirated character that defined the car’s appeal. This example has never seen track duty and has rarely been driven beyond basic movement for shows, transportation and storage. For collectors, that level of preservation—both mechanical and cosmetic—makes it a standout.

The Extreme Aero Package pushes the ACR even further into track-ready territory. Its carbon-fiber rear wing, dive planes, extended front splitter and dedicated hood produce massive downforce, complemented by a rear diffuser and carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes. The manually adjustable suspension offers ten settings, all effectively untouched in this car given its minimal use.

Inside, the cabin emphasizes function with exclusive touches. A serialized Snakeskin badge confirms its limited status. Black leather, ACR-specific seats and an 8.4-inch touchscreen blend heritage and modernity, while the included color-matched cover and unused spare splitters add to its completeness.

Values for Viper ACRs have surged in recent years, with an average sale price around $313,000. The most expensive to date, a 2017 Viper GTC ACR with the Extreme Aero Package, sold for $406,500 in 2025. While it’s unclear where bidding will land for this particular example, its rarity, condition and specification position it among the most desirable Snakeskin Green ACRs remaining.

For a car built to chase records, its life has been unusually gentle. As it heads to auction, its next chapter will depend on whether the new owner chooses to keep it preserved—or finally let the V10 stretch its legs.
