Ringbrothers Unveil 800-HP Kingpin Mustang at SEMA 2025

At this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the Ringbrothers unveiled one of their most ambitious creations to date — an 800-horsepower 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 known as “Kingpin.” With more than 5,500 hours of build time invested, the project showcases the Wisconsin-based builders’ hallmark mix of artistic design and engineering precision.

At the heart of the car is a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine, built by Wegner Motorsports and topped with a Whipple supercharger. The combination delivers 800 horsepower to the rear wheels through a Bowler six-speed manual transmission, ensuring the build retains its connection to traditional driving involvement despite its high-tech components.

The transformation extends far beyond the powertrain. Ringbrothers re-engineered the Mach 1 from a body-on-frame layout to a unibody structure using a Roadster Shop chassis. The platform features dual wishbone suspension and Fox RS coilovers for precise handling and modern performance. HRE wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires complete the setup, providing both grip and visual flair.

The bodywork has been subtly widened — two inches at the front and 3.5 inches at the rear — while the wheelbase was lengthened by 1.5 inches to improve stance and stability. Carbon fiber accents add a contemporary touch to the largely classic exterior, maintaining the Mustang’s recognizable silhouette with refined proportions and a more aggressive edge.

Inside, the craftsmanship continues with a custom leather interior featuring Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air climate control, and a bespoke steering wheel. Hidden beneath the surface is a fully integrated roll cage that strengthens the chassis without disrupting the car’s clean design.

Every surface and detail of the “Kingpin” reflects the Ringbrothers’ obsessive attention to perfection—proving once again that their SEMA builds are as much art as they are machines.
