Ram Revives TRX With 777-HP Hellcat Power, Returns for 2026

Ram is bringing back its most extreme half-ton pickup, confirming the return of the TRX for the second half of 2026. The revived Ram 1500 TRX reclaims its place at the top of the brand’s performance lineup with familiar Hellcat-powered muscle, upgraded hardware, and a renewed focus on high-speed off-road capability.

At the heart of the truck is the same 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 that defined the previous TRX, now tuned to deliver 777 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque. That marks an increase over the outgoing version and positions the truck as one of the most powerful production pickups ever built. Ram says the added output allows the TRX to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, a significant improvement over the earlier model.

The TRX is now officially part of the SRT performance division under Stellantis, reinforcing its role as a halo vehicle rather than a niche off-road trim. While straight-line speed grabs headlines, Ram continues to emphasize the truck’s desert-running and high-impact off-road credentials. New Bilstein adaptive shocks provide 13 inches of front suspension travel and 14 inches at the rear, paired with 35-inch all-terrain tires mounted on 18-inch wheels. The setup is designed to handle aggressive terrain, high-speed impacts, and airborne antics without compromising control.

Despite its aggressive mission, the TRX remains positioned as a daily-drivable flagship. The cabin includes heated and ventilated seating for all occupants, with massaging front seats, carbon-fiber trim, and a Harman Kardon premium audio system. Technology is also front and center, highlighted by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch head-up display, and a large 14.5-inch central touchscreen. Ram’s hands-free highway driving assistant is included as well.

Visually, buyers can opt for understated single-color finishes or choose the more aggressive Bloodshot Night Edition, which adds a red-and-black exterior treatment and distinctive badging.

The 2026 Ram 1500 TRX will be the brand’s most expensive half-ton pickup, with pricing starting at $102,590 including destination. Ram appears confident demand will remain strong, positioning the resurrected TRX as a deliberate counterpunch to rivals like the Ford F-150 Raptor R and a statement that high-horsepower internal combustion trucks are not finished just yet.
