Lunaz transforms classic Rolls-Royce Phantom V into a seven-seat electric luxury vehicle with modern amenities and handcrafted details.
British electric conversion specialist Lunaz has unveiled a new all-electric Rolls-Royce Phantom V, celebrating the model’s legacy with a one-of-a-kind restomod that fuses mid-century elegance with cutting-edge technology and custom luxury features.
Commissioned by a longtime Rolls-Royce collector and Lunaz client, the vehicle has been comprehensively restored and electrified to honor the Phantom’s 100th anniversary. The project took over 5,500 hours to complete and involved the re-engineering of more than 11,000 individual components, the company said Tuesday in a statement.
“There has never been a Rolls-Royce Phantom V quite like this,” said Lunaz founder David Lorenz. “This vehicle was built to honor a century of greatness, and it has been reimagined to thrive in the next.”
Visually, the vehicle retains its original stately proportions and hand-formed bodywork, finished in a bespoke deep navy blue paint with subtle metallic flake. Polished chrome elements, including the classic Rolls-Royce grille and trim, remain intact, preserving the car’s regal appearance.
Inside, Lunaz transformed the interior into a modern lounge for seven adults, with two seats up front and five in the rear courtesy of integrated jump seating. A creamy white leather upholstery contrasts with gloss wood veneer, while contemporary additions include a refrigerated whiskey bar, USB charging ports, heated seating, and a whisper-quiet climate control system. A privacy screen can also be deployed to separate driver and passengers.
Although Lunaz has not released performance figures, the fully electric Phantom is powered by an 80-kWh battery pack. While not performance-focused, the vehicle is expected to offer silent cruising and sufficient range for relaxed grand touring.
Pricing for Lunaz restomods varies, but this commission is estimated to exceed £1 million, or roughly $1.36 million. The company continues to offer bespoke conversions on a limited basis from its facility in Silverstone.
