Cadillac may be known for luxury and refinement, but the CT5-V Blackwing continues to prove that it also has serious muscle. The high-performance sedan recently took on a Lamborghini Huracan and a Ford Mustang GT during a roll race at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania — and came out on top.
The race was part of RaceMotive’s 65-mph roll series held at the 2.5-mile Pocono Raceway, a track known for its long straightaways and high-speed potential. Video captured by the ImportRace channel on YouTube showed the all-black CT5-V Blackwing facing off against the white-and-black Huracan, both starting around 65 mph before unleashing full power.
When the speeds leveled off, the Cadillac reached an impressive 162 mph while the Italian supercar trailed behind at 142 mph. The result was a clear win for the American luxury performance sedan, which managed to “roll” the Lamborghini by nearly 20 mph at the finish.
The Blackwing’s next challenge came from a gray S550-generation Ford Mustang GT. Despite the Mustang’s solid 151 mph pass, it couldn’t match the Cadillac’s 161 mph run. The CT5-V Blackwing once again proved itself as a formidable rival in the world of high-speed roll racing, capable of keeping pace with or surpassing more exotic competitors.
The victory underscores Cadillac’s evolving image as a performance powerhouse. With General Motors retiring the smaller CT4 nameplate, the CT5 line will continue into a new generation, keeping hopes alive for future high-performance V and Blackwing variants. For enthusiasts, the latest race serves as one more reminder that Cadillac’s fastest sedan isn’t just for the boulevard—it’s for the track.
