C2 Corvette Crashes Leaving Car Show

Not another one!

For reasons we can’t explain, there’s been a string of Corvettes crashing while leaving car gatherings. This time it was a more vintage model, a C2 convertible, which was departing a car show in Pennsylvania when the driver lost control, hitting a house. We’re not quite sure if that’s better or worse than hitting another car or a crowd.

Watch an impatient Corvette driver wreck out big here.

A video uploaded to YouTube by Nacho Nova clearly shows the driver of the C2 Corvette tried doing a rolling burnout as he was leaving the show with a passenger along for the ride. We don’t think he impressed the woman by torque steering into the house.

Fortunately, it looks like the Corvette and house both weren’t too badly damaged. The sports car appears to have just hit the steps leaving to the front door, and who needs to use steps anyway? At least they appear to be just wood and so replacing them should be quick and easy enough. But if any of you know a good fiberglass repair guy, someone in Pennsylvania might need that info.

We suppose the Tesla crowd and the like is just shaking their heads and laughing about how humans are horrible and robots should be driving every car. Hating one’s own existence surely must not be much fun at all. We haven’t tried the loathing every last human on Earth while worshipping technology and we’ll also do a hard pass on that one.

As you’ll see in the video, quite a few other classic cars and trucks were able to leave the show and drive down the road without a problem. Some drivers even goosed theirs a little bit, but none go really crazy. Driving harder than you have the skills to back up, especially on a public road, is always a bad idea.
