Fall Carlisle's massive automotive flea market is designed to be your last chance to stock up on parts for your project car before the winter months set in. It's an automotive treasure hunt that is unlike anything you can experience on Craigslist or eBay. If you are building a car and need to find parts, Fall Carlisle is the place to be.

And better yet, this event offers a free taxi service to get you around and a free parts hauling service to get your score back to your vehicle – just try getting that kind of service from your local flea market or U-pull. There's even an app for Fall Carlisle so you can find or make your way back to a particular vendor!

3) The auction

If you're in the market for a classic or collector car, Fall Carlisle is a must-attend event. This year, the two-day auction runs from October 3rd and 4th, and organizers are expecting more than 500 cars to be up for grabs. Of course, the majority of cars focus on classic hot rods and muscle cars, but there's a little bit of something for anyone ranging from a 1921 Ford T-Bucket to late-model performance cars including a rare 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Yenko. It's not just American cars either as plenty of imports will be represented such as a gorgeous 1989 Ferrari Testarossa and a fully restored 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser.
