Rare 2008 WSM Series 2 GT Emerges in Immaculate Condition

A rare opportunity has surfaced in Battersea, where Graeme Hunt Ltd is offering a pristine 2008 WSM Series 2 GT—one of only a handful ever built. The boutique dealer, known for handling exceptional and historically significant vehicles, currently has both an original WSM race car and this later Series 2 version displayed side by side.

The Series 2 GT was developed by Anthony H., son of WSM founder Douglas, alongside Paul Woolmer, a specialist in Healey engineering. Their goal was to modernize the spirit of the original 1960s WSM racers, offering both a road-ready GT variant and a Sprint model for competition use.

This particular example represents the road-oriented GT version, powered by a lively MG F four-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed gearbox. The car has traveled only 2,750 miles since completion, leaving it in near-new mechanical and cosmetic condition.

True to its bespoke origins, the cabin is finished with craftsmanship typically reserved for luxury marques like Bentley. The result blends racing character with grand touring refinement, a combination that makes the Series 2 GT as comfortable on long drives as it is capable on a track day.

With the MG engine revving freely to 7,500 rpm, the car delivers spirited performance and an unmistakable exhaust note. Its lightweight construction and careful tuning preserve the agility and feedback that made the original WSM racers so admired.

Graeme Hunt Ltd continues its tradition of curating rare, distinctive automobiles—offering this WSM Series 2 GT as a remarkable continuation of British sports car ingenuity.
