A low-mile 1998 AM General Hummer H1 has surfaced for sale, offering one of the cleanest examples of the original civilian-spec off-road icon. The truck, priced at $99,900, carries just over 43,000 miles and remains close to its factory configuration, giving buyers a chance to experience the model much as it appeared when AM General brought military engineering to the consumer market.

Finished in Deep Green Metallic with a Deluxe Tan Leather interior, the four-passenger hardtop presents the familiar, squared-off profile that made the H1 instantly recognizable. It rides on 17-inch steel wheels and massive 37-inch radial tires, supported by an array of exterior equipment that includes a roll bar, push bar, roof and side bars, rear protection bars, and a RubberDuck4x4 utility box. Multiple auxiliary lighting units from Hella and Xtreme round out the truck’s trail-ready appearance, complemented by a Truxedo tonneau cover and full exterior lighting system.

Under the hood, the H1 uses a 6.5-liter turbo diesel V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed lockable transfer case. The drivetrain features full-time four-wheel drive, power disc brakes, and a 4-wheel independent suspension system designed to handle extreme terrain. A 12,000-pound front winch and integrated tire inflation system reinforce its military lineage while preserving the model’s core capability.

Despite its rugged purpose, the cabin delivers more comfort than expected from a truck with battlefield roots. The tan seats carry branded stitching, and the interior is fitted with insulation enhancements, power accessories, a Monsoon audio system, and climate controls. A heated windshield adds functionality for colder environments.

This example includes its original window sticker, a binder of documentation, and both sets of keys. With its condition, originality, and rare pickup-style configuration, it represents an increasingly difficult model to find in such preserved form.
