Chevrolet Camaro-Inspired Golf Cart Sells Online After No-Reserve Auction

A customized golf cart designed to resemble a sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro has found a new owner after recently selling in an online auction. The vehicle, built to echo the look of the now-discontinued muscle car on a much smaller scale, attracted attention for its unusual design and novelty appeal rather than traditional performance credentials.

The auction ended just hours ago with a final sale price of $6,565. The listing was offered without reserve, allowing the market to determine its value. Documentation included with the vehicle shows the golf cart was originally sold in 2017 for $16,090, making the closing price a significant drop from its original cost.

The Camaro-themed golf cart is based on an E-Z-GO platform and was modified by Caddyshack Golf Cars. It features custom-formed fiberglass front and rear body panels styled after Chevrolet’s muscle car, along with 14-inch wheels and 50th anniversary badging. Power comes from a 48-volt battery pack paired with an AC electric motor driving the rear wheels. No odometer is fitted, so mileage is unknown.

Equipment includes integrated cup, ball, and tee holders, a fold-down windshield, independent front suspension, and a limited-slip differential. The interior combines leather and cloth upholstery with orange accents, a suede headliner, and a five-panel rearview mirror. Additional features include a front bumper guard and an electrically operated front storage compartment.

The listing notes several cosmetic flaws consistent with use. These include scratches on interior trim, seat wear with patched areas on the driver’s seat, dents on the front bumper guard, exterior chips and scuffs, and curb rash on the wheels.

According to the seller, the battery was replaced in March 2024. The sale also included accessories such as sand and seed bottles, a golf bag attachment, indoor and outdoor covers, a rear organizer, a trickle charger, the owner’s manual, one key, and the original window sticker. The seller reportedly acquired the golf cart in November 2017.

Finished in Nightfall Gray with a black and gray interior, the Camaro-inspired golf cart ultimately sold through Cars & Bids, closing the chapter on a novelty vehicle that blended automotive styling with golf course utility.
