Restored 1941 Dodge WC-12, decorated with top AACA honors, highlights Raleigh Classic’s no-reserve September Special auction.
A rare, award-winning piece of World War II history is set to cross the block this fall as Raleigh Classic Car Auctions presents a meticulously restored 1941 Dodge WC-12 1/2-ton 4x4, offered without reserve.

Part of Dodge’s WC series built from 1941 to 1945, the WC-12 was a versatile light truck used by the U.S. military for a variety of roles, from logistics to reconnaissance. Powered by a Dodge T-214 230-cubic-inch flathead six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and single-speed transfer case, the truck earned a reputation for durability in some of the most demanding conditions of the war. Its design later inspired Dodge’s long-running Power Wagon civilian line.

This particular WC-12 was discovered in Wyoming in 1997 and subsequently transported to North Carolina, where it underwent a comprehensive restoration. The quality of that work earned national recognition: the Antique Automobile Club of America awarded the vehicle a Senior National First Place in 2007 and later a Grand National First Place in 2010. The truck was also featured in Wheels of Time magazine, further cementing its reputation among collectors.

Presented as an early-production model built during the WC-12’s single year of manufacture, this Dodge carries added rarity and collectibility. Accompanying the sale are its AACA plaques and trophies, original maintenance manual, rear cargo cover, jerry can, and period-correct first aid container.

While minor cosmetic imperfections are noted, such as scratches on the hood and running board, the truck remains in outstanding condition. With fewer than 1,300 miles indicated since restoration, this military workhorse represents both a museum-worthy artifact and a vehicle eligible for vintage exhibitions.

As part of Raleigh Classic’s September Special, this no-reserve Dodge WC-12 offers collectors the chance to acquire a decorated wartime icon with unparalleled provenance. See it here.
