A low-mile 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Edition blends cinematic nostalgia with modern performance, paying tribute to Steve McQueen’s iconic car.
A 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Edition, a modern homage to one of Hollywood’s most celebrated cars, has surfaced as a remarkably preserved, low-mile example of Ford’s performance heritage.
Completed in August 2019 and delivered new in Hawaii the following month, this Bullitt has had just three owners and shows 5,487 miles. Finished in the model’s signature Dark Highland Green over Ebony Recaro leather-trim sport seats, the car carries subtle nods to the Highland Green fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the 1968 film Bullitt.
Ford priced the special edition at $53,080 when new, and this example features several desirable factory upgrades. The $2,100 Bullitt Electronics Package added blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert, premium B&O audio, and navigation. It also carries the optional Recaro leather-trim sport seats, a MagneRide damping system, and other small refinements.
Visually, the Bullitt distinguishes itself from the standard Mustang GT with a de-badged black grille, unique “Bullitt” badging, a simulated gas cap with the Bullitt script, and 19-inch gloss black wheels inspired by the torque-thrust design from McQueen’s film car. The interior continues the theme with a serialized dash plaque, green accent stitching, a Bullitt-logo steering wheel, and the retro-style white cue ball shift knob.
Under the hood, Ford fitted performance upgrades from the Shelby GT350, including its intake manifold and open airbox, giving the 5.0-liter V8 480 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque—20 more than a standard GT. A six-speed manual with automatic rev-matching enhances the analog appeal, while the absence of the GT’s electronic speed limiter allows higher top speeds.
