A 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition showing just 8 miles on its odometer has surfaced for sale on Bring a Trailer, giving enthusiasts a rare chance at a Ford supercar that has barely left the showroom floor. Listed by its sole owner and offered through a Missouri dealer, the car is currently bidding toward seven figures with the auction set to close on August 4.
Finished in the Heritage Edition's signature Heritage Blue and Epic Orange livery over an Ebony leather cabin, the car pays homage to the Gulf-liveried GT40s that won Le Mans outright in 1968 and 1969. This example was optioned from the factory with forged BBS wheels, a McIntosh audiophile sound system, and painted brake calipers, and it rides on a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and a helical limited-slip differential. Brembo brakes, HID headlights, a front splitter, and a rear diffuser round out the performance hardware. The dealer notes a clean Carfax report and a clean Ohio title, and the car is offered with a wall display included in the sale.
The modern GT traces its roots to a 2002 concept that revived the GT40 name in spirit, if not in badge, and Ford built just over 4,000 examples between 2004 and 2006. Each car began life at a plant in Ohio before being finished at Ford's SVT facility in Michigan, and the Heritage livery was reserved for a limited slice of 2006 production, making cars like this one meaningfully scarcer than the standard-liveried GT. With a hydroformed aluminum chassis, a mid-mounted supercharged V8, and a 200-plus mph top speed, the GT earned favorable comparisons to contemporary Ferraris when new, and low-mile, single-owner examples have become especially prized by collectors two decades later.
Hagerty Valuation Tools currently price a #3-condition (Good) 2006 Ford GT Heritage at roughly $704,000, a figure that has climbed more than 54 percent over the past year alone, reflecting just how quickly appreciation has accelerated for these cars. Recent comparable sales back up that trajectory: a 4,900-mile Heritage Edition sold for $801,000 on Bring a Trailer in June 2026, while a standard-liveried 2006 GT brought $742,500 in a July 2026 sale on the same platform. Hagerty's data also shows nearly 450 Ford GTs changing hands at public auction over the past three years, with top sales reaching into seven figures for the most exceptional, lowest-mileage examples. An 8-mile survivor like this one sits well outside the norm even for a model whose values are already climbing, and it will be a useful data point for tracking where the Heritage Edition market goes from here.
