A 454-powered 1994 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 crew cab dually, built by Vin Anatra for Hagerty's first-ever RADwood Build Challenge, is up for auction on Hagerty Marketplace with no reserve. As of this writing the high bid sits at $11,750 across 19 bids, and the auction closes Thursday, November 5 at 2:10 p.m. EST. Listing details and photography courtesy of Hagerty Marketplace.

A Build Challenge Truck With Real Personality

Hagerty handed three well-known builders and YouTube personalities (Vin Anatra, Mike Burroughs and Larry Chen) the same budget and told them to find and modify their dream '80s and '90s machines. The six-part series was hosted by Jason Cammisa, and the finished builds were shown off at RADwood NorCal in Alameda, California on October 24, 2026. Attendees voted for a favorite, with a winner-take-all $100,000 prize split between the winning builder and the charity of their choice.

Anatra, known for his Hoonigan work and his car-buying and selling YouTube channel, went with something nobody else would: a GMT400 Silverado 3500 in the rare Crew Cab Dually configuration, sourced in California. It's a heavy-duty hauler that contractors, farmers and RV owners leaned on for years, and he turned it into a pure '90s custom.

What Makes It RAD

The look starts with 20-inch chrome Fuel forged wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, sitting on a 10-inch drop front and rear with a C-notched frame and tow air bags in back. Widened dually bedsides, a weld-in roll pan, a shaved tailgate and a 4-inch steel cowl hood change the proportions, while a Lund roof-mounted sun visor and a boomerang-style antenna are straight out of the era's custom playbook. Clear front lights, GTO tail light covers and a custom 1990s-inspired livery by Vinyl Craft Lab finish the job.

Under the hood is a 454ci V8 backed by a TH400 three-speed automatic, with an aluminum radiator, 3-inch exhaust and updated air conditioning. If you like your trucks big-block and loud, it is hard to argue with the formula. We've featured a very different take on the Chevy pickup recently, and the contrast shows how wide the custom-truck world has become.

Inside, the gray cloth split bench has new upholstery and is joined by a billet shifter and steering wheel, billet accents, a footprint gas pedal and an Alcantara headliner. Power windows and locks are included, and a double-DIN stereo with Apple CarPlay and 10-inch subwoofers keeps the cabin modern enough for daily use.

Know What You're Bidding On

The truck shows 184,500 miles and is offered by a Broad Arrow Specialist in Van Nuys, California with a clean California title and a clean CARFAX report, which does note a reporting gap between 2006 and 2016. The listing is upfront about its known imperfections: a few front door panel clips and the front passenger door handle need replacing, there is some paint overspray on exterior trim and door handles, the front wheels rub, and the catalytic converters have been removed, so emissions compliance may be an issue in some areas. Bidders should confirm registration requirements where they live. Anatra also confirmed in the listing comments that the original factory parts and wheels removed during the build are not part of the sale.

Even so, a no-reserve crew cab dually with this much character, this much documented work and a television-ready backstory is a rare find. The other two RADwood Build Challenge vehicles are also being offered at no reserve on Hagerty Marketplace. For anyone who has wanted a loud, low and unapologetically '90s truck, this one is ready to cruise. Fans of oddball pickups may also want to read about the Lincoln that was built as a pickup twice.
