A long-owned El Camino is changing hands on Hemmings. The 1971 Chevrolet comes from an estate liquidation in Dwight, Illinois.
According to the seller, who is administering the estate, the truck was refurbished in 1994 and is in very good condition. It has been a show car since then and has only been driven a few times each summer. The listing notes that the title was issued to the late owner in 1974.
The engine is believed to be the original 350-cubic-inch V8, rated at 245 horsepower when new and now topped with a chrome air cleaner. It is paired with a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 automatic. The seller reports no performance issues, and the exterior was repainted in Placer Gold in 1994, with the finish appearing in good shape.
