Ford Introduces FP800S Bronze Magneride Mustang With 800 Horsepower

Ford has quietly expanded its performance catalog with a new concept that edges remarkably close to production reality. The FP800S Bronze Magneride Package, recently added to Ford’s Custom Garage lineup, builds on a previous show car while offering a factory-backed path to 800 horsepower. Although pricing and timing remain unrevealed, the package signals Ford’s intent to keep pushing its flagship pony car deeper into high-performance territory.

The concept continues the formula introduced with the original FP800S at the 2024 SEMA Show. At its core is a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger fitted to the 5.0-liter Coyote V8, a combination expected to deliver roughly 800 horsepower at the crank. Supporting hardware includes upgraded half-shafts, an air/oil separator and a street lowering kit designed to help manage the additional load once the boosted output reaches the pavement.

What sets the new version apart is its bronze-themed design. The color treatment stretches across the exterior, from grille inserts to the 19-inch R1 wheels and matching lug nuts. Bronze graphics run along the body, giving the car a distinct identity compared to the more monochrome SEMA concept. Additional visual elements include carbon fiber mirror caps, a carbon hood vent, a front splitter, wheel spats and a Dark Horse rear spoiler.

Inside, bronze accents play a more subtle role, but Ford continues the customization with an FP800S badge on the dash and Recaro seats embroidered with Ford Performance branding. These touches signal that the FP800S isn’t just a power upgrade—it’s a cohesive package intended to elevate both capability and character.

Ford emphasizes that the package is engineered and supported at the factory level, allowing buyers to retain their warranty despite the significant bump in output. That level of integration sets it apart from many aftermarket options and may be a key selling point once the kit becomes available.

While price remains the biggest unanswered question, Ford’s existing Sinister Bronze package for the Bronco—priced at $5,200 and lacking a supercharger—offers a hint of what buyers might expect. Given the extensive performance components included here, the Mustang package is likely to land at more than twice that amount.

For now, the FP800S Bronze Magneride concept stands as a preview of what Ford Performance intends to deliver: a factory-certified Mustang capable of supercar power levels with signature styling to match.
