Blazin Rodz used the 2025 SEMA Show to unveil one of its most ambitious projects yet: a hybrid hypercar engineered around the visual legacy of the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. The company showcased an OE-standard 1:3-scale model along with a full-size front-end assembly, giving attendees a detailed look at a vehicle designed to merge classic American muscle with modern hypercar engineering.
The project represents a clean-sheet reimagining of the Camaro rather than a modified restoration. Blazin Rodz built the car around a bespoke chassis constructed entirely from precision-machined components engineered to meet hypercar-level performance standards. The exterior, designed by Sean Smith, adopts full carbon fiber construction and proportions more in line with contemporary supercars than traditional pony cars.

At the center of the program is a hybrid drivetrain aimed at producing a combined 1,600 horsepower through a twin-turbo R07 V-8 paired with an axial flux electric motor. Blazin Rodz is targeting a top speed of 210 mph, supported by an advanced control system that oversees torque delivery, clutch engagement, launch characteristics and braking energy recovery. The company is also developing an 800-volt battery pack specifically for the project in collaboration with Raeon UK.
Beyond powertrain development, the team is engineering a patent-pending suspension system that blends torsion bars, pneumatic air springs and hydraulic pushrods into a variable-rate setup expected to adjust stiffness and ride height in real time. According to the company, the goal is to offer both road comfort and track-ready precision, creating a system that continuously adapts to conditions.

To support its rapid development timeline, Blazin Rodz is working with HP Additive Manufacturing 3D Printing to produce custom components and bracketry as needed. The vehicle will also incorporate launch control with torque fill, electronic clutch management, traction control using electric-motor modulation and blended regenerative braking to maintain battery charge during spirited driving.
The hybrid hypercar remains in fabrication and engineering, with development scheduled to move into testing and calibration next. Blazin Rodz expects to begin early sales ahead of a full debut at SEMA 2026. Pricing has not been announced, though the company anticipates a starting point of roughly $1.6 million. Production will be limited, with extensive customization options planned to ensure each example is tailored to its buyer.
