1970 Pontiac GTO

The 1970 GTO was heavily restyled, and featured what many believe to be the best front-end design, with four exposed round headlights that were wrapped in Endura bumper with blacked out twin grilles.

This year realized another great feature, the lift of GM’s 400 CID restriction, so Pontiac offered a new 455 CID V8 as a GTO option. To go with the new engine option was the Vacuum Operated Exhaust (VOE). This exhaust reduced backpressure and increased the power of the car, but reined a short time due to government emissions restrictions. Only 233 GTO’s were built with the VOE option.
