The 1967 Chevrolet C10 has long been a favorite among custom truck builders, thanks to its clean lines and classic stance. But one example has taken the formula far beyond nostalgia, blending vintage style with massive power and clever personal touches.
Owned and built over the past three years by a driver named Robert, this C10 hides a serious weapon under its hood: a Nelson Racing-built V8 paired with twin 72-millimeter turbochargers. Dyno sheets back the claim—1,300 horsepower at the wheels. That immense output is managed by a built T-56 Magnum six-speed transmission, sending torque to a Ford nine-inch rear end with 35-spline axles.
Supporting the power is a heavily reworked chassis from Speed Tech Engineering. The truck was converted to right-hand drive, a change Robert requested so he could shift with his left hand. “I’m left-handed. I like shifting with the other hand,” he explained.
The truck sits low, courtesy of coilovers and suspension upgrades, and rolls on massive rubber—335-width tires in front and 345s in back. Wilwood six-piston brakes provide the stopping force. Custom touches include Mustang side mirrors, a polished patina exterior finish, LED lighting, and bodywork that complements its slammed stance.
Inside, the truck combines modern convenience with race-ready safety. A Holley digital dash replaces the original gauges, while a new sound system, bucket seats, and even four cupholders make it usable on the street. A full roll cage underscores the serious intent behind the build.
