The Oberoi Concours d’Elegance Returns to Udaipur in 2026, Showcasing India's Royal Automotive Heritage

India’s most prestigious car show returns in 2026 to Udaipur’s Oberoi Udaivilas with global icons and royal-era vehicles.

One of the world’s most refined celebrations of automotive elegance, The Oberoi Concours d’Elegance, will return for its second edition from February 20 to 22, 2026. Set against the opulent backdrop of The Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur, the event brings together rare vintage cars, royal history, and global automotive icons in a three-day spectacle of mechanical and cultural splendor.

Curated by celebrated automotive historian Manvendra Singh Barwani, the concours transforms the palatial grounds of Udaivilas into a living museum. Visitors can expect to see meticulously restored vintage automobiles, many formerly owned by India’s maharajas, displayed among the manicured gardens and domed architecture of the heritage hotel.

More than a car show, the event is positioned as a high-society convergence of design, engineering, and heritage. Esteemed judges from around the globe will preside over the event, including Pebble Beach Concours Chair Sandra Button, Formula One legend Sir Jackie Stewart, and former FIA President Jean Todt. Their participation underlines the international significance of the show and its growing stature in the global collector car community.

“The Oberoi Concours d’Elegance isn’t just about automotive beauty,” said Barwani. “It’s about honoring the culture and craftsmanship of an era where automobiles were an extension of royal identity and elegance.”

After a successful inaugural event, the 2026 edition aims to elevate India’s standing on the global classic car map. The show will include classes spanning pre-war and post-war vehicles, historic motorcycles, and special displays of Indian coachbuilt cars—vehicles that embody the nation’s unique blend of tradition and innovation.

As anticipation builds, collectors and enthusiasts from across continents are expected to converge in Udaipur for a celebration where heritage meets horsepower—underscoring India’s legacy as a cradle of motoring elegance.
