Specialty Vehicle Engineering has revealed its most extreme pickup truck to date, introducing the 2026 Sport Edition GMC Sierra Off-Road with available output reaching as high as 1,000 horsepower. The new package expands SVE’s lineup of high-performance GM-based vehicles and targets buyers seeking supercar-level power in a full-size off-road-capable pickup.
The Sport Edition package is built on the factory 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD platform and is offered in Crew Cab or Double Cab form. Buyers can select either a short bed or standard bed configuration, allowing the truck to retain the core utility and versatility expected from the Sierra while dramatically increasing performance.
Three supercharged engine options are available. The entry-level configuration uses a 5.3-liter V8 producing 700 horsepower, while a 6.2-liter V8 raises output to 800 horsepower. At the top of the range is a 6.8-liter V8 generating 1,000 horsepower, positioning the truck among the most powerful production-based pickups ever offered.
According to SVE, each powertrain receives extensive internal upgrades designed to handle the increased output. All engines are built around blueprinted aluminum blocks and computer-balanced rotating assemblies. The 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter engines feature forged 1538MV twisted steel crankshafts, while the 6.8-liter version uses a forged 4340 steel crankshaft. Forged aluminum pistons, upgraded cylinder heads, and SVE’s proprietary high-output supercharger system are standard across all three configurations.
To improve drivability, SVE includes its Boost-By-Wire Control System, which electronically ties boost pressure to accelerator pedal input. This system allows power delivery to build progressively rather than arriving abruptly, making the truck more manageable during everyday driving.
Exterior changes distinguish the Sport Edition from standard Sierras, including exclusive quarter-panel graphics, new wheels, and horsepower-specific badging on the hood insert and tailgate. Inside, the cabin receives embroidered Sport Edition Supercharged Off Road logos on the front headrests, matching embroidered floor mats, and additional trim enhancements.
The 2026 Sport Edition GMC Sierra Off-Road will be sold through authorized GMC dealers. Production is limited to 50 units per horsepower configuration, for a total of 150 trucks. Pricing has not been announced, and SVE is directing interested buyers to contact the company directly for further details.
