Paul Walker’s 2 Fast 2 Furious Evo Heads to Auction With Steep Estimate

A turbocharged 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII driven by Paul Walker in 2 Fast 2 Furious is set to headline an upcoming movie-car auction. The car, which appeared throughout the 2003 sequel as Brian O’Conner’s ride, is part of a nine-vehicle lineup tied to the long-running Fast and Furious franchise.

Bonhams will present the group later this month as “The Movie Cars Collection,” a sale featuring screen-used vehicles and several detailed replicas. Among the offerings, the Evo stands out as the star attraction, having logged roughly 15 minutes of on-screen time. Built by Eddie Paul Industries to specifications provided for the film, it was one of four cars prepared for production. This particular example, known as Stunt Car No. 1, is the only unit equipped to deliver the full 330 horsepower from its turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four.

The car retains its distinctive Kosmic Kolor Candy Lime Gold finish, as seen in the movie, and shows fewer than 6,210 miles. After filming wrapped, it was used for promotional duties before being exported to Norway in 2007. Movie Cars Central later acquired it in 2019. Now, it is scheduled to cross the block on November 28 with an estimate ranging from $289,500 to $579,000.

Other notable vehicles in the sale offer additional movie and TV pedigree. The roster includes a 1970 Dodge Charger featured in Fast and Furious 7, a 2011 Ford Taurus Police Cruiser used in the 2014 Robocop remake, a 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria seen in Men in Black 2, and the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 tied to the John Wick sequel.
