A heavily modified 1971 Porsche 911T coupe is being offered for sale in Monterey, California, combining early 911 styling with modern performance upgrades. Originally purchased on Bring a Trailer in 2017, the car has since undergone significant transformation, highlighted by the installation of a 3.2-liter flat-six from a 1986 911 Carrera and a series of suspension and aesthetic enhancements.

The coupe is finished in vibrant Tangerine, a factory-correct shade, and was repainted in 2025 during a comprehensive refresh that included rear fender flares and several lightweight body components. The exterior features a ducktail spoiler, RS-style fiberglass bumpers, and 911R-style lighting elements that give the longhood Porsche a motorsport-inspired look. Additional equipment includes European H4 headlights, Cibie driving lamps, bullet-style mirrors, and period-style hood latches.

Underneath, the 911T rides on 15-inch Fuchs alloy wheels wrapped in Vredestein Giugiaro tires. The braking system features ventilated discs, upgraded Brembo rotors, and stainless-steel lines. The suspension setup benefits from Weltmeister sway bars, Sway-A-Way torsion bars, adjustable Koni shocks, and a front strut brace—components aimed at improving handling without compromising street usability.
Inside, the cockpit retains a purposeful tone with fixed-back sport seats trimmed in black leather and corduroy, RS-style door panels, and a roll bar. A MOMO steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation, while a short-shift kit and Schroth harnesses underline the car’s track-ready intent.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed 915 manual transaxle. The odometer shows 370 miles since completion, reflecting limited use since the restoration. This reimagined 911T blends vintage character with Carrera performance, offering enthusiasts a chance to own a uniquely personalized Porsche with both classic charm and modern bite.
