Johnny Cecotto BMW M3 E30 Is Up For Grabs, But It Will Cost You!

This rare German sports car has a price tag of almost $120K.

BMW E30 M3 examples have become one of the more desirable modern collectibles in recent years. Now toss in the Johnny Cecotto name, and getting one would be rare, and it’s going to cost whoever ends up buying it. There were only 480 of these special edition BMWs made, with one selling last year for $89k, but used car prices have absolutely skyrocketed since.

The limited-edition Johnny Cecotto BMW M3 has a 215-horsepower S14 engine, before it became a standard mainstay in the 1990s in Europe - the valve covers on the engine were all color-matched to the car's body. There were three color options, including Misano Red, Macao Blue, and Nogaro Silver Metallic, this example is Macao Blue, but it looks very black in the pictures, so it’s a pretty interesting color.

This special edition model has Evolution II front and rear spoilers, thinner glass in the back window, wheels with a special black insert, and chrome tailpipes. The seats were available in Anthracite or Silver M-Technic cloth with Bison leather bolsters, this one has Silver Bison leather with M Sport Fabric inserts.

Additionally, the cars were made with a special door sill plate and M3 insignia, M on the driver’s footrest, an illuminated shift knob, and a Johnny Cecotto signature plate. There are 62,713 miles on the clock of this example.

While the car is number 341 of the limited 480 run, that price is a little to stomach, would you pay this for the limited-edition M3?
