Over 1,700 unsold Corvette Z06s now sit on dealer lots, prompting significant price cuts to move high-performance inventory.
Just a year ago, Chevrolet dealers had waiting lists and soaring markups on the highly coveted Corvette Z06. Today, that script has flipped entirely.
As of early August, more than 1,700 examples of the 2024 and 2025 Corvette Z06 remain unsold on dealer lots across the U.S., according to Chevrolet's online vehicle locator tool. The Z06 now represents the largest share of unsold Corvettes, outpacing even the Stingray and the hybrid E-Ray.
Despite being hailed as a track-ready marvel with its 670-horsepower LT6 flat-plane-crank V8, the Z06 has hit a sales speed bump. Many of the cars listed are now being offered at or below MSRP, a striking reversal from the $20,000–$50,000 dealer markups seen during its launch window. In some cases, discounts exceed $10,000 on well-optioned trims, a development few anticipated for the high-performance halo car.
The Z06’s sudden overabundance reflects broader shifts in the enthusiast market. Inflation, high interest rates, and changing consumer priorities have softened demand for high-priced performance vehicles. Dealers, once holding out for top-dollar offers, are now eager to clear aging inventory before 2026 models arrive.
The market correction has created a rare buying opportunity. With discounts and availability at record highs, buyers who were previously priced out can now shop Z06s on their terms. “It’s the best time in years to grab a Z06 without the headache of a bidding war,” one Michigan dealer commented.
Whether this is a temporary glut or a lasting trend remains to be seen, but for now, the Z06 is finally a buyer’s car—and Chevrolet showrooms are ready to make a deal.
