BRABUS Unveils 1,000-HP Rocket GTC 'Deep Red' Convertible at Pebble Beach

BRABUS launches the Rocket GTC “Deep Red” hybrid convertible: 1,000 hp, red carbon body, 0–62 in 2.6 seconds, built to order.

BRABUS introduced a new flagship open-top model Friday during Monterey Car Week, debuting the Rocket GTC “Deep Red,” a coachbuilt, all-wheel-drive hybrid convertible clad entirely in red exposed-structure carbon fiber and rated at 1,000 horsepower.

Positioned by the German tuner as a “Hyper Gran Turismo Convertible,” the 2+2-seater combines a BRABUS Rocket 1000 4.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 with a rear-axle electric motor for a quoted system output of 735 kW (1,000 hp). The company lists system torque at 1,820 Nm (1,342 lb-ft), electronically capped at 1,620 Nm (1,195 lb-ft) to protect driveline components. Power is routed through a nine-speed sport transmission and an electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system.

BRABUS cites 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.6 seconds, 0–200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.5 seconds, and 0–300 km/h (186 mph) in 23.6 seconds. Top speed is limited to 317 km/h (197 mph). The hybrid module pairs a 150-kW (204-hp) synchronous motor with a two-speed gearbox and a 6.1-kWh lithium-ion battery; the powertrain is calibrated to meet Euro 6d-ISC-FCM emissions standards, the company said.

Developed in the wind tunnel and produced in-house, the Rocket GTC’s carbon fiber body panels are finished with a transparent red coating and detailed for cooling and downforce. A deep front splitter, enlarged intakes and sculpted side sills feed air to radiators and brakes, while a full-width ducktail rear spoiler and integrated diffuser stabilize the car at speed. Four titanium tailpipes, illuminated in red, exit through the rear valance; active valves allow switching between a subdued “Coming Home” mode and a louder V-8 soundtrack.

Stance and rolling stock are equally deliberate. Forged BRABUS Monoblock P “PLATINUM EDITION” center-lock wheels feature integrated carbon aeroblades—also finished in red—to help evacuate brake heat. The front axle wears 10.5Jx21 wheels with 275/35 ZR 21 Continental SportContact 7 tires; the rear fits 12Jx22 wheels and 335/25 ZR 22 tires. Kevlar-lined rear fenders and a track-widened rear section underline the convertible’s 198.5-centimeter (78.1-inch) width.

The Masterpiece interior mirrors the exterior theme with red leather throughout, BRABUS “Shell” quilting on seat surfaces, door inners and floor mats, and multiple embossed Double-B emblems. Signature carbon fiber appears on the steering wheel, console and door panels, contrasting with matte “Shadow Gray” finishes on vents, switchgear and bezels. Illuminated sill plates, machined pedal pads and branded seat-belt details complete the cabin.

BRABUS says the Rocket GTC Deep Red is built to order, with the vehicle shown priced at €697,800 (export price in Germany, excluding 19% VAT). Each example includes a digital product passport on the Aura Blockchain Consortium’s private ledger—a provenance and anti-counterfeit measure the firm has extended across its 2025-model Masterpiece line.

Efficiency figures under the WLTP cycle are listed at 12.9 l/100 km (18.2 mpg) combined fuel consumption, 12.1 kWh/100 km combined power consumption and 291 g/km weighted CO₂ emissions. Electric-only range is quoted at 12 km (7.5 miles).

The debut extends BRABUS’s “one-second wow” design language from its recent Rocket GTS shooting brake into an open-top format tailored for Monterey’s global audience. With the Mercedes 300 SL Roadster’s American heyday as an historical touchpoint, the Rocket GTC Deep Red targets buyers seeking headline performance wrapped in coachbuilt presentation—and the kind of customization that is increasingly central to Pebble Beach-week unveilings.
