The author of the book is Christof Vieweg, a well-known journalist with multiple published books under his belt, and with the permission of Mercedes, Vieweg was able to get up close and personal with many vehicles not often seen by the public eye. For those looking to see some of the collection in person, the museum in Untertürkheim houses approximately 160 cars, and others can be found on display at events worldwide. However, the biggest slice of the collection is stored among 12 different unsuspicious commercial buildings around Stuttgart dubbed the "Holy Halls".
