This $90k bespoke 1965 Ford Mustang 347 cubic-inch V8 could just be the coolest on the market. Check it out!

Having bought your classic Ford Mustang from the classifieds, there will come a day when you rock up at the lights, satisfied behind the wheel, only for this beast to skulk alongside and leave you feeling inadequate – in every way.

Boasting aesthetics straight out of Death Race, this 1965 Ford Mustang widebody Pro Turing Show Car is perhaps the greatest custom Mustang currently on the market. Churning out 450bhp from a tuned small-block 347 ci V8, the Pony on steroids is up for sale on eBay.

The price? Well, a Buy It Now option places the vehicle at $90k. A huge amount of money, granted, but then there’s a huge number of upgrades shoehorned into the drivetrain.

The engine has been installed with a Weiland intake and FelPro gaskets, alongside tuned Holley carburetors and MSD ignition. There’s also T5 5-speed transmission and a one-piece aluminum driveshaft, to keep power flowing as aggressively as possible.

To support an already guttural engine note, long tube headers and titanium heat wraps aid the 2.5” exhaust. This thing sounds the business, whipping out a pitch destined to leave gearheads weak at the knees.

Cooling comes from an aluminum radiator with Edelbrock water pump. Apparently, the engine runs cool in 100-degree weather and has no overheating issues – unlike many other classic Mustangs.

Another aspect often lacking with stock first-generation Mustangs, this widebody Pro Turing Show Car employs SSBC disc brakes on all four corners, ensuring that the car comes to a safe halt from high speed.

Handling has been tightened with the fitting of new front suspension with tubular control arms, 1” drop front coil springs and new 5 leaf performance springs in the rear.

The interior has been given the same level of attention to detail, with custom fittings from TMI Product. Black with Alcantara and red stitching throughout, the cabin features Pro viper Jr. bucket seats, one piece door panels, custom dash, one piece Alcantara headliner, Autometer gauges, Hurst shifter, retrosound radio, and so, so much more.

Boiled down, it’s fast, it’s stylish and it’s packed full of upgrades. While the asking price could buy you a brand-new Mustang with a warranty and all the sensible options, this $90k classic gives you all the benefits of contemporary performance blended with the iconic original look.
