Learn How An Amazing Movie Car Stash Was Uncovered

One car adventure turns into another.

Picking up Freddy “Tavarish” Hernandez’s “budget” $80,000 Lamborghini Murcielago from the Fast & Furious franchise would be an exciting thing to do. You’d expect the adventure to be all about snagging the famous, low-priced vehicle. But as Andrew Howell of AvalonKing tells in the video below, it became even more interesting when someone at the shop where they were picking up the “cheap” Italian supercar showed them a secret stash of other real and very recognizable movie cars.

Being in the presence of numerous famous cars is more epic than being in the presence of multiple human celebrities. For one, the cars aren’t going to pull an attitude, but instead they sit and let you ogle all you want.

The sheer variety of movie cars shoved in this warehouse is amazing. It’s not all that surprising, sadly, because once franchises like Scooby Doo, Austin Powers, and so forth are done or at least finished with the cars, they have to go somewhere.

It seems like putting these vehicles in museums would be a better choice. At least most car museums are temperature controlled, dry, dust-free, and overall safe places to store irreplaceable vehicles like these. Surely museums would line up to have on display at least one if not multiple cars which were on screen for popular movies. They would be some of the bigger draws and help bring in people who might not normally go to car museums.

While this story was neat to hear, it’s definitely sad to see all those beautiful movie cars sitting with dust all over them. They could and should be where the public can enjoy them. To quote the great Indiana Jones, “this belongs in a museum.”

Oh, and of course the Lamborghini was transported back to Florida, but they had to buy a new trailer to fit it properly. But that was an aside to the real story.
