Nothing beats a classic Jeep.
Everyone loves old Jeeps, and this 1977 Jeep CJ-7 Golden Eagle is an exceptional specimen. It’s in excellent condition and is ready to take you on your next adventure.
The dark green paint job shines up nicely. Of course, you can clearly see this vehicle prominently features the classic Golden Eagle decal on the hood, intact and in its full glory. The Gold Eagle script is also intact on both front fenders. Freshly redone brightwork on the bumpers, side steps, side mirrors, exhaust, hood latches, and more shines up nicely. New and beefy BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires complete the classic look of this rig.

This CJ-7 really brings it with a 304ci V8, which has plenty of low-end torque for getting through tough trail conditions. A tachometer helps with managing everything on the road or off. Factory-installed power steering makes maneuvering this rig in tight spots a breeze.
Despite being pretty Spartan on the inside, just like you’d expect with an old Jeep, this CJ-7 Golden Eagle comes with some nice comforts installed in the factory. One is air conditioning, which is nice if you have the top and doors on when temperatures really rise. Side steps are also included, helping make it easier to get into and out of the vehicle.
Jeep offered the Golden Eagle option package for $200 beyond the Renegade package, but it was only offered from 1977 to 1983. Just like in this example, originally the package added an eagle decal to the hood. The package also came with larger tires, a rear-mounted spare tire, spare tire lock, wheel lip extensions, a Levi’s Soft Top, the Convenience group, the Décor group, a tachometer, plus carpeting. Since the CJ-7 was launched for the 1976 model year, this particular Jeep comes from the second year of production but is the first year for the Golden Eagle package. Jeep used the CJ-7 to introduce some sweeping changes to its brand design, something it hadn’t done for two decades. Among the shifts was a longer wheelbase, the inclusion of removable steel doors, an optional molded plastic top, plus the availability of air conditioning. These features made the CJ-7 more comfortable and practical than previous Jeeps. All this can be yours, thanks to Vanguard Motor Sales.
