Channel Your Inner Magnum P.I. In This 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS

Turn this retro Ferrari from a childhood poster into an awesome reality.

Most may recognize this model car as the Tom Selleck-driven Ferrari 308 in the hit television show Magnum P.I. Thomas Magnum (Tom Selleck) drove this sweet ride around Oahu for eight whole seasons from 1980 to 1988. No need for the awesome 'stache to get behind the wheel of this amazing 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS offered by San Francisco Sports Cars.

With an output of 237-horsepower, this two-seater Ferrari 308 is powered by a mid-engine V8 and shifted via a 5-speed manual transmission through a single-plate clutch. The rear wheels spin consistently thanks to a limited-slip differential. Multiple exterior vents breathe fresh air into the engine to keep it nice and cool, and ventilated disc brakes on all four corners provide much needed stopping power. This wedge-shaped beauty may not be as quick as the recent Ferrari models, but it possesses a retro cool factor that will have everyone gawking no matter where it goes.

Designed by Pininfarina, the Ferrari 308 was a direct replacement for the Dino 246 and GTS in 1975. In 1985, it's last model year, it was updated to a 328. Earlier 308 models had fiberglass bodies, but the Italian automaker switched to all-metal in the later model years. The Ferrari 308 was produced from 1975-1985, and its exterior was essentially left unchanged during the entire decade.

This particular 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS is painted in a Rosso Corsa bright red, and inside the cabin is a clean tan leather interior. A hair over 76,000 miles have been accumulated on the clock. This beaut has enough miles to know that it has enjoyed the road from time to time but still super low miles for a 34-year-old car.

If this is the old-school Ferrari that graced your wall during your youth, then you may not want to pass up the real deal. It is listed at $53,995, but feel free to visit San Francisco Sports Cars and make an offer here.
