Go Fast In This 1985 Chevy C10

Some modifications make this pickup much hotter.

At first glance you know something is definitely different about this 1985 Chevrolet C10 truck being sold by Ideal Classic Cars. After all, it undoubtedly rode higher and definitely didn’t roll off the lot on those chromed US Mags 10-spoke wheels. While the tonneau cover over the bed is another obvious modification, the big changes are where you don’t see right away.

Pop that hood and you’ll find a Small Block Chevy V8, making this truck more of a go-fast machine than it was originally. Just for show, chromed parts like the valve covers plus an orange engine block really dress the engine compartment up. Working with that beefier engine is a Turbo-Hydramatic 350 automatic transmission, so when you lay down the hammer it manages gear transitions in a hurry. Helping you to hook up and stick turns are Nitto tires.

Looking very presentable, the exterior of this Chevrolet overall is quite impressive. Sparkling Sedona Tan keeps things looking original and tasteful. Even shinier is the chrome on the bumpers, front fascia, side mirrors, etc. It appears to be recently applied, so you get that perfect mirror-like finish. All the factory trim pieces, including the side markers on the front fenders and the badges are still in place and looking great. Underneath the tonneau cover is a rubber bed liner, just in case you decide to haul more than tail.

While the mechanicals have been severely altered, the interior of this truck looks like it just rolled off the factory floor, save for the custom chrome steering wheel. That means all the original controls and gauges are present, plus the radio with cassette deck. The bench seat upholstery, the door panels, and the carpeting all look fresh and match what this truck wore from day one. Some nice features were included from the beginning and are still working, like air conditioning, power windows, power steering, and power front disc brakes.

This is a nice treatment of a classic Chevy pickup truck. If you want to talk purchasing details, contact Ideal Classic Cars. Don’t forget to look at the other cars in stock since they have quite a few cool options you might like.
