You Could Own This Solid 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA S-Code

It’s not hard to see that this vehicle was very well cared for.

Unique Specialty & Car Classics is excited to announce this pristine 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA S-Code for your consideration. This stunning example is dressed in its original color of Wimbledon White and houses the original 390 V8 engine under the hood. The car fires right up, runs great, and drives like a true Ford Fairlane GTA should. GTA was the automatic transmission variant of the Ford Fairlane GT. This example came from the Southwest and has been restored along the way with precise attention to detail.

All of the chrome and brightwork is in excellent condition and provides a nice accented look against the OEM white paint. The red stripes along the sides of this Fairlane match the original red interior beautifully. The cabin features comfy bucket seats that appear to be in great shape, as is true for the rest of the interior too. The automatic shift knob and center console can be found on the tidy floor. The tachometer is functional and the odometer currently reads at 96,501 miles.

What’s more, the BFGoodrich Silvertown redline radials further elevate this Fairlane’s appearance by providing a little more contrast on the exterior. All in all, this 1966 model is very straight and in solid condition; it’s easy to see that the previous owner gave it the TLC it deserves. Now all that’s missing is a new owner to continue the job.

For the 1966 model year, the fifth-generation Ford Fairlane sported a fresh look with stacked headlights that reflect the contemporary design of the “big Fords.” Fairlane convertible models were also offered for the first time. Both the new drop-top and two-door hardtop (like you see here) were available with the GT or GTA package. The GT/GTA 390 cubic-inch engine produced 335 bhp (250 kW) with higher compression and a four-barrel carburetor. Regardless of the model of Fairlane, these Ford were and still remain highly collectible and desirable. The example offered up here is currently priced at $32,900, and you can make an offer on the car right here.
