Drive Off In A Beautiful Turquoise 1958 Chevy Cameo Pickup

No expense was spared in bringing this classic truck back to life.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to announce this pristine 1958 Chevrolet Cameo pickup truck for your consideration. This stunning classic comes dressed in an exceptional turquoise paint job that is complemented by white accents throughout and a clean matching interior. If you have been in the market for a remarkable show truck, then don’t miss your chance to grab this Cameo right now. The current asking price is set at $49,900, and you can make an offer on it here. Act fast, though, because you may not find another one like it.

The heart and soul behind this head-turning truck is a fuel-injected 383 cubic-inch V8 motor mated to a stout 700R4 transmission. This Cameo was treated to a professional full restoration that was completed five years ago; the resto included the powertrain. You can bet your bottom dollar that no expense was spared in getting this gorgeous truck to the state it is in today. Some improvements were added during the restoration too, like a March serpentine belt system, Wilwood brakes, a Vintage air conditioning system, four-link rear end, Foose Mag wheels, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, power steering, an upgraded subframe, and more!

The 1955 Chevrolet Cameo boasted V8 power, an automatic transmission, deluxe interior, and two-tone paint job. It shortened the distance between car and truck to give consumers the best of both worlds. Although it was not a huge seller, the Cameo helped set the stage for other stylish trucks like the Ford Styleside, Dodge Sweptside, and Chevy’s own Fleetside pickup. The Cameo had a 114-inch wheelbase and carried a 6.5-foot-long cargo bed, which shared the same 5,000-pound gross vehicle weight as the 3100 and 3200 series half-ton trucks. Chrome bumpers and grilles, along with full wheel covers were standard on the Cameo.

The industry-wide adoption of quad headlights and a larger front grille were highlights of the 1958 re-design for all Chevy trucks. With just 1,405 produced for the year, production of the Chevrolet Cameo stopped in early 1958.
