A 1975 Mercury Colony Park station wagon with just 26,000 miles is now available after spending decades with its original owner in New Jersey. Equipped from new with a 460-cubic-inch V8 and the Trailer Towing package, the full-size wagon reflects both the scale and feature set that defined American family vehicles in the mid-1970s.
The wagon was delivered new in Dark Ginger Iridescent paint, paired with a darker vinyl roof and simulated woodgrain bodyside appliques. Exterior equipment includes hide-away headlights, a roof rack, a receiver hitch, and a power-operated tailgate window. Rust is noted around the rear quarter windows, along with areas of touch-up paint, and a crack is present in the woodgrain trim near the fuel filler door.

Riding on 15-inch steel wheels with slotted covers and narrow whitewall tires, the Colony Park was optioned with power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums, supported by Mercury’s Sure-Track skid control system. The Trailer Towing package further emphasized the model’s utility-focused role.
Inside, the cabin features tan vinyl bench seating and brown cut-pile carpeting. Standard and optional amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and door locks, a remote-adjustable driver-side mirror, a Philco AM/FM radio, and a digital clock. A temperature gauge has been added above the glovebox. Wear is noted throughout the interior, including aged weatherstripping, a hole in the dashboard, and a crack in the rear passenger door panel.

The three-way tailgate provides access to a cargo area fitted with inward-facing, foldable third-row seats equipped with lap belts. A tilt steering column houses cruise control buttons, and the five-digit odometer indicates 26,000 miles, with roughly 750 added by the current owner.
Power comes from the optional 460 V8, factory rated at 218 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, paired with a C6 three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.00:1 rear axle. A replacement battery, fluid and filter service, and new mufflers were installed in 2024. Corrosion is visible on underside components.
Documentation includes owner’s manuals, promotional literature, a data sticker, and a copy of the original August 27, 1975 sales invoice showing a total cash price of $6,091. The wagon is offered with a Texas title carrying a certified copy notation and is currently located in Virginia.
